Secret Santa

As a Freshman in college, money is tight which means when a 

secret Santa gift exchange is organized the gifts tend to get a little creative...

Ben was very thoughtful when deciding what the perfect gift would be for our friend Casey, a pic of his butt in an adorable frame, by far the most creative. 

Willie got a new Ping Pong paddle from Stacie, Bennie got a little penguin ornament (his favorite animal) :) from me, and Payton got new Grinch boxers, a payday candy bar, and a new beanie from CC .    

But I think the girls hit the jackpot :)

The beginning of forever

Let me start by saying HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 

As of November 22, 2011 Austin and I are engaged! 

He started out our 2 year anniversary by taking us to lunch at Asuka  Japanese Steakhouse

followed by the mall, where he didn't complain about how much time I spent in any store (which made me think something was going on) and ended with us renting a red box movie. 

Before watching the movie i went to his room to get a blanket off his bed and when I turned around he was standing in the door way and gave the most adorable speech I have ever heard, then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him :) 

Two days later was Thanks giving and our families were ecstatic

Minus the comment my Gran made because she thought we were joking with her...

 "Hes too smart for that"

But she apologized after everyone convinced her it was real. awesome.

My Family

The Kid table this year was by far the best. My cousin Garrett brought two of his friends from college home, Kaylee brought her new boyfriend to meet the family, and I brought Austin

Attempt at college life FAIL

Thursday Thursdays at EKU are apparently a big deal.

Everyone knows i don't drink, but that doesn't mean i don't LOVE to dance :)

So Mekaella convinced me that we should have a girls night and go to Riptide's on the river.

Our girls night turned into Me, Mekaella, Stacie, Casey, Celica, Payton, Ben, and Will. 

First we all tried cramming into my car, after realizing we couldn't squeeze 8 people into a 5 seater Passat, Mekaella volunteered to drive as well. 

V stayed behind because Payton lost his wallet and she had to go to the bank, so ben, stacie, will, CC and I went on only to find Riptide's was closed. 

Who doesn't like dancing outside when its 50 degrees? :)

luckily V had just left and we were able to warn her and the others before they made it to far 

So V, Payton, and Casey tried another place called Club 110 which ended up being closed as well so our College night out turned into sitting downstairs Keene. 

ooh well...at least we can say we tried.   

We still had fun, and this attempt is not over!

   

Deformed Turkey

After coming home from Starbucks with my roommate Celica, 

and our friends Sarah and Ali we were shocked to find that our floors RA had finally got around to making 

Celica's festive name tag for our door...

Celica says "He is the runt and the others turkeys bit his beak off and 

then the cook captured him and tried to cook him and only got him in to 

his neck" and so that's why he's fried, and we don't know what happened to his feathers :)

 

My turkey is the one that ate it's beak.

After going to the gym tonight we were bursting with endorphin's so we tried to climb

the walls. YES this is what college kids do on Monday nights. 

I couldn't do it because I had crappy shoes on... obviously.

Pumpkin Patch

Today Austin and I visited Boyd's orchard

we had a contest to see who could find the smallest pumpkin, 

and I was a rebel and took a bite out of an apple off one of the trees...uncleaned!  

 after walking through the rows of apple trees we went to the petting zoo where we 

met some friendly goats and raced each other up the giant hay bail, 

I won, just sayin.

I think Boyd's is one of my favorite places in the world. 

Elder Bowling Day

Our Missionaries Elder Anderson, and Elder Ahern have become 2 of Austin and I's best friends, we love them and will be devastated when they leave. 

Anderson has been through Austin's entire conversion process, he taught him, was at the baptism, and was there for Austin's first temple trip. Basically we love him. 

So over break we planned a bowling day with them. We met at Austins and drove my car :) 

What we discovered on the car ride to the Bowling center:

• Elder Ahern does the BEST Nacho Libre impressions 
• Elder Anderson has a lot of ex-girlfriends
• Anderson should not be left unattended with anyone's phones
• Anderson wears skinny jeans...HAHA

Apparently when Anderson bowls he is only referred to as ( El Tigre)...

The bowling alley was packed with people over 65 on leagues. i looked over at the league bowlers next to us and saw the curtest old lady whos legs didnt even touch the floor wail sitting on the bowling chairs,

when she stood up i realized it was my Nannie!

Happy Halloween

This Halloween was one of my favorites minus the Halloween when Austin and i first got together.

This Halloween we decided it would be fun to break our tradition of visiting The Nightmare Haunted house and try something new with our friends Celica and Blaine. That would be where Scream Park comes into play.

Lets just say, i had to change my pants later.

The theme this year was clowns, so for those who hate them this is my warning :)

Austin showed great courage and maned the back wail cc and I stayed sandwiched in the middle, also it was hard to move because i had forgot to bring a pair of jeans home from my dorm so i had to borrow some of Austins :)

It was an experience...let me tell ya.
